Director of Missions
Jim is a life-long Kentuckian, raised in Woodford County, and grew up in a small town, Midway. He has been married to his wife Pegge for 35 years. They met at Asbury University, where both attended and graduated. Pegge currently works for the Council on Postsecondary Education in Frankfort, KY. They have two daughters, Jessica, a nurse administrator at Baptist Health in Lexington, who is married to Brett Marshal, a police officer for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. They have one child, Elliott Jameson, who is the greatest thing since salvation (to his grandparents)! Their younger daughter, Jackie, lives in Campbellsville, KY where she graduated from college and works in public relations and e-commerce for a regional car dealership.
Jim brings expertise to our churches from staff/leadership training (various levels), developing your church's FIRST IMPRESSIONS (Greeters, Ushers, Facility, Web presence), developing outreach strategies for your community, and dicipleship through developing Small Groups and/or Sunday School. Facilities evaluations and systems operations (constitutuion/by-laws, manuals) are areas of expertise to help your church be healthy and to grow.
Jim has served in ministry for 40 years and has served as a youth minister, staff minister, church planter, college professor, in higher education administration, a small business owner, lead pastor, and has served as the Lead Follower/Director of Missions of the NKBA since April 2014.
