Care Net Pregnancy Sevices Volunteer Opportunities
Care Net has a number of volunteer opportunities including:
Advocate
The Advocate counsels young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy
Basic requirements:
Relationship with Christ
Good listener, given to mercy and compassion
Weekly in-house time commitment / Extensive training
Mentor Mom
Educate pregnant clients with basic infant care needs and pregnancy issues in Care Net's S.T.A.G.E.S. program (parental experience helpful)
Prayer Chain Partner
Be available for calls when prayer is requested in emergency situations (i.e, pregnancy center clients and volunteer / staff family situations)
Spanish Speaking Advocate / Mentor Mom
Interpret for non-English speaking clients
Newsletter / Mailing Production
Pricess large mailings: label, sort, stuff, seal, etc - occasional
Church Representative
Keep your church informed of events and ministry opportunities
Solicitors
Contact local businesses for charitable contributions of diapers and baby supplies, etc. (Call from home or on site)
Handiwork and Repair work
Perform maintenance around the center
One Time Events
Provide support through committee work and service opportunities for annual and special events: Walk for Life, Annual Reception, etc.
Receptionist
Hotline
Clothing Coordinator
Organize "gently used" donated maternity clothes and baby clothes / supplies
Sewing
Wes canvas bags for expectant mothers in the S.T.A.G.E.S. program
