The Knowledge in Christ ministry is a series of computer training courses in Windows 98, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Working in conjunction with area churches and volunteer instructors and staff, the program is designed to teach area residents basic computer skills in order to help increase their earning power in the job market. Students will be given classroom instruction and will also have the opportunity to take a computer home for further practice. The KICM ministry training room is located in First Baptist Church, Newport. Renovation of the training area and setup of the equipment is expected to be complete in November, 1999 with classes starting by the end of the year.
